I like Harley-Davidson.

No, I mean I really like Harley-Davidson. And it’s not just the motorcycles, though those are a big part of it. I love the history behind Harley-Davidson as well. I love the story of the three Davidsons and one Harley who started tinkering on what amounted to an engine strapped to a bike frame in a wood shed, to the huge corporation of today. The camaraderie, the brotherhood, the feeling of “belonging”.

I created Harleyroads as a place to share my passions. There are several biker sites out there, but very few dedicated to the history behind Harley-Davidson. So… here’s my attempt at it.

As for me, your intrepid host, I’ve been riding my own 2000 Heritage Softail Classic since, well, 2000. Bought it brand new off the show room floor, and Daisy has taken me from Virginia (where I currently live) to Florida and back, up into Canada and all the way across to British Colombia. And of course, all around the Mid-Atlantic area. Been hit by more bugs and kicked-up rocks than I care to recall. But it’ll all part of the experience.

So kick back, grab a cold one of your choice, and stick around for a bit. If there’s something else you’d like to know, drop me a line.
